Thanksgiving Beauty Tips

This Thanksgiving instead of throwing away those leftovers, use them to whip up some Thanksgiving beauty treatments.

Chocolate Pecan Pie Body Scrub

This body treatment will not only hydrate and firm your skin, but it will leave you smelling exactly like this Thanksgiving Day Dessert.
The Pecan Oil is rich in Oleic Acid a deeply hydrating moisturizer and the Cocoa powder has flavanoids that firm the skin and increase elastin and collagen production.

What you will need:

1/2 cup turbinado sugar
1/4 cup very light (or extra virgin) olive oil
2 tablespoons finely chopped pecans
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

Stir all of the ingredients together, mixing well.

Pumpkin Pie Facial Mask

Pumpkin makes an excellent face mask ingredient for all skin types, especially environmentally damaged or sensitive skin. High in Vitamin A (skin healing), C (anti-oxidant) and Zinc, the pumpkin soothes, moisturizes and acts as a carrier, assisting the other mask ingredients to absorb deeper into the skin and intensifying the results.

What you will need:

2 teaspoons pureed pumpkin (cooked or canned)
1/2 teaspoon honey
1/4 teaspoon milk

Directions:

1. Mix together all of the ingredients into a paste.
2.  Apply this paste onto freshly cleaned skin. Let it dry for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse off.

Apple Cider Face Scrub

Apple contains malic acid which deeply penetrates the skin and helps fade discoloration from acne or sun damage.  This scrub will leave your skin glowing.
What you will need:
1 Tbs. Baking Soda
½ tsp. Apple Cider

Directions:
Mix them both together until they form a paste.  Massage over damp skin in circular motions.  Rinse well and pat dry.
