Travel Tuesday Time again and I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend. Back to work today and it is the first official week of fall. I don't know about you but I am not ready for the cold weather, at least there are still a few months before the snow. It's a gloomy and rainy day today in Boston, so daydreaming of a vacation is perfect escape. Today's Destination is Queensland, Australia.
Tan on the sands of the Surfers Paradise, snorkel through the Great Barrier Reef, and rent a car and go Off Roading on Fraser Island. Hike and explore the Daintree Rainforest with an Aboriginal guide or sail to the Whitsunday Islands. If your in the mood to relax do so at the resort in Noosa, frolic on the beaches of the Capricorn Coast and see dinosaur footprints near Winton. Go diving from the town of Bundaberg and bushwalk through national parks near Mackay. Visit wineries and rodeos in Southern Queensland Country and go horse riding on Townsville’s Island.
Bike through the City Botanic Gardens or sail down the Brisbane River. Relax at the gardens and lagoons of South Bank or eat and shop at Fortitude Valley’s cafes and boutiques. You can go bridge climbing, abseil down Kangaroo Point Cliffs or float in a hot air balloon (I have always wanted to do this). Moreton Bay is nearby, where you can fish, boat, feed wild dolphins and toboggan down the world’s tallest sand dunes.
