Marriage Monday With A Side Of Belly

   It is officially wedding season.  This is my favorite time of year and this year I get to take a part of it with my own wedding in October making the festivities that much more exciting.  Over the weekend Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey married his longtime girlfriend, Brazilian Model Camila Alves.  The couple had been together for 6 years, before becoming officially engaged on Christmas day.  According to People.com the couple wed on Saturday evening in a private ceremony in Texas before close friends and family.  Camila will take his last name, officially becoming Camila Alves, McConaughey’s rep told the magazine.  The ceremony was very last minute even for the guests who stayed in dozens of tents McConaughey pitched on his property for the occasion.  Prep began two weeks ago at the couple’s nine-acre Austin, Texas home known as the old oak estate. According to entertainment tonight the wedding incorporated the couples roots with an Island beach meets Texas theme, including Brazilian food catered by Estancia Churrascaria steakhouse.  The menu included Brazilian top and bottom steak, chicken wrapped in bacon and pork sausages with cheese bread.  The gaucho chefs wore tapered black pants with blue shirts and red bandanas around there necks.  The wedding décor included wispy long white tents, horseshoe pits, fire pits, washer pits and tether ball. 

   Along with the McConaughey’s another celebrity couple tied the knot last weekend in California.  Drew Barrymore married art consultant Will Kopelman on June 2 at her Montecito, CA home.  According to Hello Magazine an ecstatic Drew walked down the aisle on Saturday to wed her fiancé of 5 months.  The wedding was star packed including Drew’s best friend Cameron Diaz, Reese Witherspoon and her husband Jim Toth, Jimmy Falon and his wife Nancy Juvonen were all reported guests.  A source told People magazine that the wedding was a “classic, simple, very pretty, garden-inspired wedding.” Drew’s gown was designed by Karl Lagerfeld, the 78 year old Chanel designer. According to the associated press, the dress was pleated muslin and organza with a ruffled color and Karl felt the bride looked “perfect.”  The designer said Barrymore tried several options before settling on this gown featuring feathers, embroidered flowers and a black satin belt.   Perhaps Drew’s best accessory and what made the event extra special was her baby bump.  The 37 year old is pregnant with the couple’s first child.  Friends told people that Barrymore is ready for a quieter, more family oriented life.

Drew Barrymore is among the growing number of Hollywood celebs sporting baby bumps right now.  

Tori Spelling is several months along with her fourth child with husband Dean McDermott, and left little to the imagination wearing a crocheted string monokini and Sanuk Yoga Mat sandals while frolicking in her backyard.  The actress is due October 9th.

Reese Witherspoon is due in the fall.  The three time mom to be made the 14 hour trek by plane to Cannes Film Festival this week with husband Jim Toth.

Sienna Miller who is due in July , stepped out in a body hugging gray dress, showing off her baby bump and killer legs.  This will be the first child for Miller and her actor boyfriend Tom Sturridge.

Molly Sims who is due late June, showed off her growing stomach at the Inspiration Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel last week.

Uma Thurman is preparing for her third baby.  The actress is due late summer and she is flauting her massive baby bump for the whole world to see.

Kristen Cavallari and Jay Cutler were planning to make their way down the isle this year, but those plans got put on hold when they found out they were expecting. The couple are due in late summer.

Brazilian Model Alessandra Ambrosio is expecting baby #2 in late spring.

Alyson Hannigan confirmed in early December that she is expecting her second child with actor hubby Alexis Denisof.  They couple is due any day now.

Snooki is heavily pregnant wit her first child.  She and her baby daddy, Jionni LaVille are due in September.

An expectant Vanessa Lachey, her husband is Nick Lachey, are due in September. This will be Nick and Vanessas first baby.

Meghan Fox has yet to announce she is expecting her first child with Actor Brian Green, but her baby bump tells another story.  According to ET online the actress wants least 2 to 3 kids and in a seperate interveiw she told Cosmopolitan magazine in April she had "always been maternal."
