More Than Just Soles

 Christian Louboutin’s career is expanding into the beauty market with his very own cosmetic line for 2013. The label will be Christian Louboutin Beauté, his inspiration for beauty comes from the famous Egyptian queen, Nefertiti. So much anticipation for this brand! I am curious as to how is trademark red sole is going to translate into this line.  Red packaging?   

Christian beleives “Beauty products also have to do with empowering women. That’s very much the job of the shoes I’m designing.”  The designer announced his new line just in time for the 20th anniversary of his career as a shoe designer..  The new line “is a mirror of the quality of the shoes, of the bags, of all the DNA of the brand“, Louboutin said.  No further details have been mentioned.  In the meantime, Louboutin is keeping busy also making handbags and designing a glass slipper forWalt Disney Co. in honor of the Blu-ray and DVD release of the classic film”Cinderella”this fall.
